What members get

The same journalism as everyone else, because it is free for everyone. Members also get a short letter from our editor-in-chief each quarter about what we are working on, and an invitation to an online meeting with our reporters twice a year.

Other ways to give

For gifts from foundations, donor-advised funds or estates, or gifts of $5,000 or more, write to members@theoverseen.org. We list every supporter who gives $5,000 or more on our funding page, unless they ask to be anonymous; we accept anonymous gifts only from individuals.

Tax status

The Overseen is a nonprofit organization recognized as tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows. We publish our audited accounts and annual tax filings on our funding page.
